Your preferences
On by default. Turning this off removes saved preferences and stops reading or saving them. Controls still work on the current page; later pages use Chinese and the dark theme by default.
We keep only an ‘off’ record to respect your choice. You can turn memory back on at any time. This choice applies to this website in this browser, not other domains or devices.
Clearing does not change the current page or the memory switch. If memory is on, future language or theme changes will be saved again. This does not clear browser history or hosting logs.
What stays on your device
- Language and appearance
- The values ‘zh’ / ‘en’ and ‘dark’ / ‘light’ are saved in localStorage as nosb-lang and nosb-theme. They stay until you clear them, turn memory off, or the browser removes site data; there is no automatic expiry. We do not send these values to our server.
- A temporary Home-navigation marker
- While memory is on, sessionStorage may hold a timestamp (nosb-home-navigation) so an internal Home link does not replay the introduction. It is valid for 15 seconds and removed when Home reads it; otherwise it lasts for the page session, usually until the tab closes. Turning memory off or clearing settings also removes it.
- Your decision not to remember
- When memory is off, localStorage stores nosb-preference-memory with the value ‘off’. This is only used to respect your privacy choice. It has no automatic expiry and remains until you re-enable memory or clear this site’s data in the browser. The clear-settings button keeps this record so it does not silently re-enable memory.
Cookies and tracking
Our current site code uses browser storage for the purposes above, not cookies. It does not include advertising trackers, third-party analytics scripts or visitor profiling. Search runs in your browser; we do not send search terms to a server.
Browser storage is still a form of storing or accessing information on your device. Hosting-layer security cookies are separate and may be used as described below.
Hosting and security
The public site at nosb-robotics.com is hosted on Tencent Cloud EdgeOne Pages. Delivering pages requires processing network requests. The provider may process your IP address, request time and URL, browser information, and delivery or security logs; security features may also use cookies to distinguish legitimate traffic from automated requests.
As of 17 September 2026, the console shows request/traffic statistics, default DDoS protection and adaptive rate limiting with JavaScript challenges enabled. Which security cookies are issued depends on the request and protection behavior; the provider’s precise log retention has not been confirmed. The controls above only affect our local preferences, not the provider’s request processing or security records.
